Best day ever!
Patrick and I had a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary Parish in Ridgefield, Conn., followed by an evening reception at Le Chateau in nearby South Salem, N.Y.
We met at our college newspaper 11 years ago and both work in media and communications, so we created our own newspaper for our wedding guests as a nod to that background. We also incorporated lots of color throughout the day. We wanted things to feel bright, lively and energetic, true to who we are as people. Our photographer Lauren Spinelli has captured that so beautifully in her photos.
Finding my dress took a while. I had four appointments before I came to the Persnickety Bride, so I thought my time with Denise would just be another opportunity to narrow down what I wanted. Instead, Denise was able to make sense of my ambiguous ideas about what I liked and quickly found me a dress that was an immediate and enthusiastic “yes.” We together brainstormed little touches to make the dress even more me. That Justin Alexander dress was everything I dreamed of and more.
